In this interview, we speak to Amanda to seek out insights into her work and feel her passion for photography artwork.

Your portfolio showcases a range of styles, including portraits, fine art, fashion, and beauty photography. How do you adapt to working across these different genres?
Each genre has its own rhythm and creative language, but storytelling and emotion are at the core of all my work. I want to implement that when shooting any of the various genres, I also always try to focus on composition, lighting, color, and lastly connection with the subject while maintaining my artistic style.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
People often assume I’m extroverted because I work in a visual, people-focused industry, but I’m highly sensitive and can be really introverted at times. I love the creative process but need solitude to recharge and refocus my energy.

How do you see AI and digital art influencing the future of photography?
While some fear it may replace photographers, I see it as a tool that enhances creativity. The human eye, intuition, and artistic vision will always be irreplaceable, but AI can streamline workflows and open new creative possibilities. I use the Generative Fill Tool in Photoshop now for so many little editing tweaks that used to be so time-consuming, like removing or taking things from the image, editing hair, makeup or clothing, cleaning up the background and so much more, it is still my photography but the AI features help me to add and take away details so much easier, especially when working in creating a composition styled image.

How do you unwind after a long day of editing and shooting?
I love quiet moments to reset. That is common when you are a highly sensitive introverted creative. Sometimes I just turn my phone on silent and step away from all screens to just let myself be present. Creativity needs time to rest and reset.

You’ve worked with major brands and publications. What’s been the most exciting or challenging project you’ve worked on?
One of the most exciting and challenging projects was a beauty editorial for a major publication where I had to execute a high-concept shoot in a tight timeframe. The challenge wasn’t just the creative execution but also handling last-minute changes, ensuring the team stayed motivated, and still delivering high-quality results. Those moments push me to grow as an artist and problem-solver.
If you weren’t a photographer, what other career would you pursue?
I am currently working on a new project where I can help other creatives who are also into various creative fields like makeup, fashion, photography and more. I love helping others unlock their potential and will be sharing more on that later this year!

If you could do a photoshoot anywhere in the world, where would it be?
There are so many incredible locations, but I’d love to do a fine art fashion shoot in the streets of NYC or a dreamy conceptual shoot somewhere in Japan. Both offer such a rich visual atmosphere.
What inspired you to start offering photography courses and educational content?
I saw so many talented creatives struggling with confidence, business skills, and artistic development. I wanted to bridge that gap by sharing what I’ve learned over the years. Helping others grow in their craft and business is incredibly fulfilling. I have always played a role as an educator, before photography, I worked with Children in schools and educational settings, as its something I have always enjoyed doing.

What common challenges do you observe among aspiring photographers, and how do you address them during your mentorship?
Many struggle with self-doubt, pricing their work, and standing out in a saturated market. I guide them through mindset shifts, teach practical business strategies, and encourage them to develop their unique artistic voice.
What’s a photography tool or trick you swear by but isn’t widely talked about?
One trick I love is using unconventional light sources—like reflective materials, tinted glass, or even household objects—to create unique lighting effects. Also, understanding color theory in photography can completely transform the mood of an image.
How do you balance your career with personal time and self-care?
It’s something I’ve had to be intentional about. I set boundaries, schedule downtime, and remind myself that rest is just as important as productivity. Also, finding joy outside of work helps prevent burnout.

What new directions or styles are you excited to explore in your photography?
Lately, I have become more drawn to cinematic and dramatic imagery, creating more composite-style shots that implement movement like hair or wardrobe caught in mid-movement.
Are there any dream collaborations or brands you hope to work with in the future?
Absolutely! I’d love to collaborate with other conceptual artists who push the boundaries of fashion and beauty photography.

Are you planning to release any new photography tools, presets, or editing resources soon?
Yes! I’m currently working on new presets and an in-depth course focused on creative direction and storytelling in photography. I want to offer tools that help photographers elevate their work beyond just technical skills.

Lastly, How do you want your photography to be remembered in the industry?
I want my work to be known for its emotion, depth, and timeless quality. Beyond that, I hope to be remembered as someone who inspired and empowered others to find their own artistic voice.
