National Geographic photographer Steve Winter is an extremely passionate guy. You’ll realize this, seconds into the video. His voice has a gravelly, used and torn, rasp which can only come from yelling at the top of one’s lungs incessantly. I don’t know if this is case (it’s probably — most certainly — not). But, nonetheless, I love how seemingly connected Winter is to his job.
And if you don’t believe me then fast-forward to 1:36 and behold the greatest in-camera POV shot west of the Mississippi. I mean 1:38 to 1:50 are some of the funniest seconds I’ve seen in a while. If you don’t agree then watch the whole thing. You’ll understand why Steve Winter doesn’t really care about what you think of him.
Now that’s a passion I can enjoy!
